Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) Notional Requirements List for Procurements

The Big City Fire Working Group (BCF) brings together representatives from 13 of the largest fire departments in the United States. BCF members include senior leaders who understand the highest priorities of their departments and collaborate to identify and discuss the needs and challenges of fighting fire in dense urban settings.

BCF highlighted the significant impact that augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) training systems may have on the fire service and the importance of having a set of non-proprietary specifications that can be used as a starting point for procurement activities.
