Jan. 16, 2026-The Bushman Planetarium at Missouri Western State University will present a public showing of "Stars of the Pharaohs" at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23.
Travel to ancient Egypt to see how science was used to tell time, make a workable calendar and align huge buildings. You'll learn about the connection the ancient Egyptians felt with the stars and various astronomical phenomena, and experience some of the most spectacular temples and tombs of the ancient world recreated in all of their original splendor.
The planetarium is located in Agenstein Hall, room 147. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children age 13 and under, students, employees, military and senior citizens age 60 and up. Planetarium tickets must be purchased in advance either online at missouriwestern.edu/planetariumor in person at Agenstein Hall, room 140 during regular business hours.
