On September 16, Consul General Qin Jie met and held an depth discussion with youth representatives from Indian media and think tanks in the consular district, who are set to visit China soon.
Mr. Qin briefly introduced China's development achievements, successful experience in poverty alleviation, and traditional Chinese culture. He elaborated President Xi Jinping's important speeches at the 18th BRICS Summit and the meeting with Prime Minister Modi. He emphasized that in the face of global turbulence and a sluggish world economic recovery, President Xi's important speeches are of great significance to promoting high-quality "Greater BRICS Cooperation" and the solidarity and self-reliance of the Global South. The meeting between the leaders of the two countries has once again charted the course for bilateral relations and will drive greater progress in two-way ties. He expressed his hope that young friends will experience both modern and ancient China firsthand, enhance exchanges with the Chinese people, and spread positive energy for China-India friendship.
