Join our June 24 webinar explaining tariffs and how local businesses can mitigate their impacts

Published June 12, 2025

Placer County's Economic Development Division is hosting a tariff webinar Tuesday evening, June 24, starting at 5 p.m. to help small businesses navigate the changing tariff landscape and find local solutions.

Attendees will hear from three experts covering tariffs on traded goods and services, offering strategies to help mitigate some of these impacts, and help finding local options for businesses.

A question-and-answer session for attendees will follow the hour-long panel discussion.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for our small business owners to learn about new techniques and find expert help without having to do a lot of extra legwork," said Economic Development and Housing Director Gloria Stearns. "We know these small businesses don't have much extra time to research and dive deep into regulatory practices, so this is a great resource for them. These industry experts are going to break down what you really need to know right now."

The webinar panel features:

  • Isabelle Icso - Executive Director of International Policy, U.S. Chamber of Commerce

  • Barbara Weg - Supply Chain Consultant, California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC)

  • Kevin Mather - International Program Manager, Northern California World Trade Center

Registration is available on Zoom , but space is limited. A portion of the session will be recorded and available for re-watch. Attendees or those interested may submit questions to [email protected] prior to the start of the webinar.
