As Europe's largest battery manufacturer, LG Energy Solution Wroclaw operates a sprawling 100-hectare (1,000,000㎡) technology park employing thousands. This state-of-the-art facility currently produces 700,000 EV battery packs annually, with ambitious plans to boost production to 1,000,000. Yet beyond scale, the company is establishing a strong internal culture based on quality, aiming to become not only the largest but the most trusted and quality-driven battery maker in the space.

Discussions on quality are a daily occurrence at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. This mindset is reflected in the Quality Experience Room, a dedicated training space built on the belief that quality begins in the hands of employees, where they develop responsibility, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

"Our mission is to build awareness and reinforce employees' knowledge regarding the safety and quality of our products," said Tomasz Dumicz, Director of the Module Production Department and initiator of the Quality Experience Room. "Even the smallest detail matters greatly, and overlooking it can have equally significant consequences - for the business and for user safety."

Training held in the Quality Experience Room is delivered in multiple languages including Polish, English, and Ukrainian. The space features over 12 demo stations replicating specific stages of production and various types of defects. Each station is labeled with customer names, creating a realistic scenario that prepares employees for the real thing.

To work independently at a station, operators undergo several days of training, learning a diverse skillset that allows them to work at multiple stations - sometimes more than ten. Since full proficiency requires time to develop, operators return to the Quality Experience Room every six months to maintain high standards.

"Every stage of production carries great responsibility," said Kamila Gosciniak-Wronkowska, Manager of the Module Line Improvement team at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw. "We remind our employees that whether they are training, preparing instructions, developing processes, or working directly on the line, each action influences the final product."

Complementing its strong culture based on quality, the company confirms product reliability through the Test & Validation Laboratory, where battery cells and modules undergo rigorous verification before entering mass production.

The facility conducts an array of mechanical, electrical, and environmental tests to ensure that every product meets the highest global safety standards. This includes short-circuit, nail penetration, crushing, overcharge, drop, shock, vibration, pressure, and climate evaluations. To safely conduct these tests, the facility features highly specialized rooms with a height of 9 meters, built entirely from reinforced concrete, equipped with heavy-duty double doors, full monitoring, and complete control over each test.

"All of this has been designed to guarantee the highest testing quality while ensuring every product meets the most stringent international requirements," said Rafal Grosner, Operations Manager of Test & Validation at LG Energy Solution Wroclaw.

The laboratory's strength, however, lies not only in its equipment. "This facility was built through hard work and expertise," said an LG Energy Solution spokesperson. "Much of our engineering talent has been with us since the beginning of battery production near Wroclaw. Developing this local expertise through training and cooperation with leading Polish universities is key to our local content strategy, and one of LG's most important contributions to Poland."
