Traffic Advisory Calaveras County 09/26/25

One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-12, and SR-26 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 4

  • One-way traffic control from Bonanza Mine Way to Appaloosa Road for highway construction work beginning Monday, September 29, 2025, through Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Angles Road for utility work beginning Sunday, September 28, 2025, through Monday, September 29, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

State Route 12

  • One-way traffic control from Burson Road to Whelisma Railroad Crossing for pavement work on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Whelisma Railroad Crossing to Southworth Road for pavement work on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Southworth Road to Pettinger Road for pavement work beginning Wednesday, October 1, 2025, through Friday, October 3, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

State Route 26

  • Long-term, one-way traffic control from Gill Haven Drive to Rich Gulch Lane for highway construction work through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
  • One-way traffic control at South Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for construction work beginning Tuesday, September 30, 2025, through Friday, October 3, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Pine Street to Winton Road for a special event on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
