Brown Bag Program Explores Archaeological Insights

Join us at the Fort Morgan Public Library at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 14, for a special Brown Bag presentation on the archaeology of El Salvador.

The presentation will be conducted by Marlon Escamilla, Ph.D., who is Morgan Community College's Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence. The presentation is called: "Living Spaces and Landscapes: Insights from Household Archaeology in El Salvador."

Escamilla holds a Ph.D. in Archaeology and a master's degree in Cultural Anthropology from Vanderbilt University. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Social Anthropology and a bachelor's degree in Archaeology from Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador (UTEC).

Escamilla has held several significant roles including National Director of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture of El Salvador, Curator of the University Museum of Anthropology at UTEC, and editorial assistant for the academic journal Ancient Mesoamerica published by Cambridge University Press.
