Community spirit was in full swing as the MECU Foundation celebrated 20 years of giving at its Annual Charity Cup Golf Tournament, raising more than $66,000 to support education and financial literacy programs throughout Baltimore.
Held Friday, September 25, 2026, at Pine Ridge Golf Course in Timonium, Md., the milestone tournament brought together golfers, volunteers, business partners, and community supporters for a day of friendly competition and giving back.
"Celebrating our 20th tournament is an incredible milestone for the MECU Foundation," said Roman Clark, Vice Chair of the Charity Cup Committee and MECU Board Chairman. "The continued generosity of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters has kept this tournament on course for 20 years. Because of them, we can continue creating meaningful opportunities for Baltimore students and families."
Over the past two decades, the tournament has raised more than $800,000 for scholarships, after-school programs, and organizations dedicated to helping local students succeed. Previous recipients of MECU Foundation support include the CollegeBound Foundation, the United Efforts Out-of-School Program, the Maryland Council on Economic Education, and the University of Maryland CURE Scholars Program.
"The Charity Cup is a powerful example of the credit union philosophy of 'people helping people,'" said Timothy Rozalski, Vice President of Marketing at MECU Credit Union. "The funds raised through this tournament help Baltimore-area organizations expand educational opportunities and provide students with the tools they need to succeed."
As the MECU Foundation celebrates 20 tournaments, it remains committed to driving opportunities for Baltimore students and supporting the educational and financial literacy programs that help them build brighter futures.
