The University is planning a renovation of Troy Theater which will include new chairs, carpet, curtains and more. Phase 1 is the replacement of all the chairs for the theater, said Ricky Moore '04, associate vice president for Development.

"We hope that alumni will support our renovation project by sponsoring a chair for Troy. The cost is $250 per chair. Each chair purchased will have a tag where the donor can place a message, Moore said. "This is a nice way to honor a family member, former classmate or faculty member and support the University at the same time."

The performing arts have and continue to be an important part of the student experience at the University.

"So many of our alumni participated in the annual Gambol, Cards Got Talent, theater productions, and coffeehouse performances. We hope all those men and women who had wonderful experiences performing on the Troy stage will support this renovation project," Moore added.

The maximum number of chairs that can be sponsored is 400.

To sponsor a chair, alumni can click this link to make a one-time donation. The donation form also includes an area for the donor to fill out the information for the chair tag. The chair tag includes two lines (25 characters per line) to include a message.Alumni can also contact Moore at 304-243-2888/rmoore@wheeling.edu or Kelly Klubert, vice president for Advancement at 304-243-8165/kklubert@wheeling.edu for more information.
