Dr. Paulette D. Kilmer, a retired UToledo faculty member and coordinator of the UToledo Banned Books Coalition, speaks to students, staff and community members Thursday at the 28th Annual Banned Books Week Vigil in Carlson Library. The one-day festival, which was part of the American Library Association's Banned Books Week, celebrated the right to read and think freely and recognized the vital role reading plays in democracy.
