Epoxy Pavement Marking Installations in Northeastern and Southeastern Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that epoxy pavement installation projects will be performed on various limited/non-limited access roadways in Northeastern and Southeastern Connecticut starting on Sunday evening, April 19, 2026. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday evening, April 19 and be completed on Friday morning, October 30, 2026. Project No. DOT01703650CN and DOT01720537CN consist of applying epoxy pavement markings at the locations below.

• I-395 North in Putnam from Northbound Mile Marker 45 - 46
• I-395 South in Putnam from Southbound Mile Marker 46 - 45
• I-395 North in Putnam from Northbound Mile Marker 47 - 48

This project is being performed by Safety Markings Inc.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

This moving operation will use the proper crash attenuator vehicles. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone as needed. One (1) state trooper will be used on the limited access roadways. Two (2) or more vendor's vehicles with flashing arrows will be spaced behind the marking machine. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday evening - Saturday morning.

Work will end at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, May 21 and will resume at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, May 26, 2026, due to the Memorial Day holiday. Work will end at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, July 2 and will resume at 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening, July 6, 2026,

due to the July 4^thIndependence Day holiday. Work will end at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, September 3 and will resume at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, September 8, 2026, due to the Labor Day holiday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
