Hoeven Statement After Senate Passes Budget Resolution

WASHINGTON - Senator John Hoeven issued the following statement after the Senate passed a budget resolution that will serve as a blueprint for reconciliation legislation to enable Congress to provide permanent tax relief for the American people, find savings to get control of the debt and deficit, and invest in national defense, border security and unleashing domestic energy production:

"This budget is an important step in advancing the agenda laid out by President Trump, including tax relief, energy dominance as well as border security and national security. At the same time, it will help to cut waste, fraud and abuse while protecting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. We'll continue working with our colleagues in the House and President Trump to advance these priorities for the American people and make our nation safer and more prosperous."
