Deputy Prime Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Milun Zogović met today with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Montenegro, H.E. Chen Xufeng, as part of the ongoing strengthening of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
During the meeting, the officials exchanged views on the current cooperation between Montenegro and China, with particular emphasis on infrastructure projects, regional development, investments and opportunities for further enhancement of partnership in areas of mutual interest.
Zogović highlighted that Montenegro and the People's Republic of China have for years been building a relationship based on mutual respect, understanding and a shared aspiration towards stability, cooperation and prosperity.
In this context, Deputy Prime Minister Zogović recalled significant projects implemented in cooperation with Chinese companies.
Montenegro particularly values the support and partnership that the People's Republic of China consistently provides through major infrastructure projects and economic initiatives. China has been and remains a reliable partner in Montenegro's infrastructural development, especially through the participation of Chinese companies in the construction of modern transport infrastructure in Montenegro. Special emphasis was also placed on cooperation in the fields of education, culture and science, where China represents one of the most important partners for our country, Zogović stated.
At the end of the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Zogović extended a warm welcome and wished the Ambassador a successful mandate in Montenegro, expressing confidence that his engagement will contribute to the further strengthening of traditionally good relations between the People's Republic of China and Montenegro, with shared readiness to further develop cooperation in areas contributing to stable economic growth and regional development.
