Purge the pills on National Drug Take Back Day
Attorney General Todd Rokita is encouraging Hoosiers to drop off their expired, unused, and unnecessary medications to disposal sites across the state as part of National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
"Old, seemingly useless medications which may be lying around in your medicine cabinets or drawers can actually present a very real - but very avoidable - risk to our children, friends, and family members," Attorney General Rokita said.
"As we continue to fight a drug epidemic in Indiana on this day, we remind everyone that pro-active measures against accidental overdoses are year-round," Rokita continued. "If you need motivation, please use National Drug Take Back Day as the spark to start cleaning out your medicine cabinet this week and join the fight against drug addiction and overdose right at home."
The Attorney General's Office is partnering with local and state law enforcement to host Drug Take Back events at the following locations on Saturday, April 26th:
