The Pine Hill Municipal Utilities Authority ("the Authority" or "the MUA") recently closed on a $2 million loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to procure and install new water meters and readers throughout its service area. The upgraded technology will deliver more accurate and reliable readings, helping customers better manage their water use, enabling earlier leak detection, and reducing unnecessary wastewater flow.
The new metering system will also improve operational efficiency, enhance system reliability, and strengthen the integrity of the entire water distribution network. By reducing unaccounted-for water losses, the MUA can more accurately track and bill treated water, supporting long-term financial stability. These improvements will bolster the system's sustainability and resilience while helping the Authority maintain the lowest possible water rates for its customers.
