MSA honored for exemplary partnership with UW-Platteville by Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents

The Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents presented the Regents Business Partnership Award to MSA Professional Services, Inc. at a ceremony Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. MSA is a Baraboo-based multi-discipline engineering company, dedicated to the sustainable development of communities.

"MSA and UW-Platteville have developed a true collaboration over the past several decades," said Regent Tom Palzewicz, who presented the award. "These partnerships are critical to solidify and grow the collaboration and connectiveness of each of our universities in their respective communities."

Now in its third year, the Universities of Wisconsin Regents Business Partnership Award honors dynamic university-business collaborations that drive progress in academic programs, workforce readiness and community growth.

Regent Palzewicz was joined by Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman and UW-Platteville Chancellor Tammy Evetovich at the ceremony honoring MSA, represented by CEO Nick Wagner and more than 104 alumni now employed with the company.

"It's no surprise that nearly one-fifth of our team proudly calls UW-Platteville their alma mater," said Wagner, also a UW-Platteville alumnus. "I value the strong partnership we've built with the university over the years. I'm confident UW-Platteville will continue to thrive and innovate, equipping the next generation of engineers and leaders to meet the challenges of tomorrow."

Chancellor Evetovich noted that the partnership thrives because UW-Platteville and MSA are united by shared core values-innovation, sustainability and collaboration.

"MSA exemplifies what it means to be a true partner in higher education," remarked Chancellor Evetovich. "They don't just hire our graduates they invest in our students and our communities. Together, we're not just preparing students for careers-we're shaping lives, communities and the future of Wisconsin."

Emphasizing the vital connection between higher education and industry, Universities of Wisconsin President Jay Rothman praised the partnership between MSA and UW-Platteville.

"The Universities of Wisconsin exist to serve the state and I'm proud that UW-Platteville produces the kind of graduates that MSA needs to excel," exclaimed Rothman. "I expect this partnership to thrive for years to come to the betterment of the people and businesses across southern Wisconsin."
