Digital Access for All Idahoans Implementation Cancelled

We want to provide you with an important update regarding the funding status of the Digital Access for All Idahoans Plan. On May 9, 2025, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) cancelled Idaho's $6.3 million State Capacity Award. The administration determined that the Digital Equity Capacity Program is unconstitutional and terminated awards to all the states and territories.

Idaho's award supported our three grant programs: Monetary, Connecting Communities, and Tech Refresh. Over 80% of Idaho's award was slated for subgrants supporting rural Idahoans, including older adults and veterans. Unfortunately, with the cancellation of our grant, we cannot offer grant programs or services funded by the NTIA.

Idaho Digital Skills is our current digital access program and is funded by the state of Idaho. It is a one-stop shop for digital skills training. Popular resources include information about being safe online and a directory to help find local resources. Training resources are also available in Spanish.
