Sharing cuttings from plumeria trees is part of Hawaiʻi's culture. The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience 's Plumeria Field Day on November 12, 9-11 a.m. will give people hands-on training in how to care for plumeria trees, root cuttings to grow their own, and take home cuttings for their gardens.
The event will be held at the CARES Center at Waimānalo (41-698 Ahiki St., Waimānalo, HI 96795), which has more than 300 plumeria trees. A potluck lunch and talk story will follow.
