The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) has shared the below information with the City of Norman:

Beginning Sunday, September 14, 2025, Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) Contractor, TJ Campbell Construction Company will commence asphalt resurfacing operations on U.S. Highway 77 through the City of Norman, which includes segments of 12th Avenue East, Tecumseh Road and Flood Avenue. The 6.6 mile mill, overlay and pavement marking project will be completed in segments beginning just north of Classen Boulevard at Cedar Creek Drive on 12th Avenue SE, continuing north to Tecumseh Road, then turning west on Tecumseh Road to Flood Avenue, and lastly northward on Flood Avenue to Interstate 35.

All work will be conducted overnight, from 7:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M., Sunday through Thursday, in an effort to minimize disruptions to daytime traffic. The project is expected to last for 60 calendar days, weather permitting.

As part of this operation, intermittent lane closures will occur during the overnight hours. Motorists should anticipate delays and uneven lanes. Please use caution in work zones and consider using alternate routes when possible.
