Ministry of MSME Joins Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 with Enthusiasm; Celebrates 150 Years of Vande Mataram

The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 is being observed from 9th to 17th August 2026 to inspire citizens to display the National Flag at their homes and workplaces and reaffirm their pride in the Tiranga. The campaign also commemorates the 150th anniversary of India's National Song, "Vande Mataram."

The Government of India launched the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) Campaign in 2022 under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag at their homes and foster a personal connection with the Tiranga. Over the years, the campaign has evolved into a Jan Bhagidari movement, symbolising national identity, patriotism and pride.

In this connection, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises organised a special programme on 13th August 2026 to promote patriotism, national unity and respect for the National Flag. Attached, subordinate and field offices under the Ministry were also encouraged to observe the occasion at their respective workplaces. The programme further highlighted the significance of the 150th anniversary of "Vande Mataram", reinforcing the spirit of national pride and unity.

As part of the celebrations, the Secretary, Ministry of MSME, distributed the National Flag (Tiranga) among officers and officials and encouraged their active participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign 2026.

The programme also commemorated the 150th anniversary of "Vande Mataram", which was collectively sung by the officers and staff. Participants were sensitised to the campaign's objectives and the importance of displaying the National Flag with due dignity and respect.

Officers and staff were also encouraged to participate in the "Selfie with Tiranga" initiative by uploading their photographs on the Har Ghar Tiranga website( www.harghartiranga.com), thereby promoting public participation and collective pride in the Tiranga.

The celebrations reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to fostering patriotism, unity, public participation and respect for the National Flag.
