Gov. Lee Announces Key Judicial Appointment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Today, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced the appointment of Mark Stapleton to the Circuit Court for the 3rd Judicial District.

"I am proud to announce the appointment of Mark Stapleton, and value the significant experience he brings to the bench," said Gov. Lee. "I appreciate Mark's willingness to lead and am confident he will serve Tennesseans with integrity."

Mark Stapleton currently serves as founding attorney at Stapleton Law Office. Stapleton earned his bachelor's degree at University of Tennessee and juris doctor at Cumberland School of Law. The 3rd Judicial District covers Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, and Greene counties, and Stapleton has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by the elevation of Judge William Phillips to the Court of Appeals, effective immediately.
