In Memoriam – John K. Stewart (1934 – 2020)

After a lifetime of love, laughter and service to the community, the John Stewart Company's (JSCo's) Founder and Chairman, John Stewart, passed away in late 2020 after a two-year battle with cancer. John was a true Renaissance man and filled every room he entered with love, laughter and his unfailingly kind and compassionate presence.

John's legacy lives on, both through the eponymous Company he founded in 1978 and the thousands of high-quality affordable housing units he helped produce during a life well lived (John K. Stewart-Tribute Video and John K. Stewart-Bio). It also lives on through our memories of him, and we have created a page where we have shared out memories of "the big guy" (John K.
