Congressman Mike Haridopolos Announces 2025 Congressional Art Competition Winners at the Vero Beach Museum of Art

VERO BEACH, FLORIDA - Today, Congressman Mike Haridopolos (FL-08) proudly honored 88 outstanding student artists from 8 Schools across Florida's 8th District at the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, held at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.

This year's theme, "From the Lagoon to the Moon and Beyond,"celebrated the unique spirit of the district, from its coastal beauty to its leadership in America's space exploration. Students submitted exceptional works of art that reflected creativity, passion, and a deep connection to the community.

"I am incredibly proud of all the talented students who participated in this year's competition," said Congressman Haridopolos. "Their artwork reflects their immense skills and captures the beauty and spirit of our district in ways that words alone never could. I'm deeply grateful to the teachers and families who encouraged these young artists to pursue their talents, and to the Vero Beach Museum of Art for offering such an inspiring venue to celebrate their achievements. Events like this remind us how much promise and creativity our community holds for the future."

The winning pieces of art can be found below:

First Place was awarded to Kaela Nunez for her art piece "Pelicans from the Lagoon in the Expedition to Space". Her artwork will be displayed at the United States Capitol.

Second Place was awarded to May Yu for her art piece "Underwater Rocket-View". Her artwork with be displaced in Congressman Haridopolos' Washington D.C. Office.

Third place was awarded to Luca Holmes for his art piece "Above, Beyond, Below." His work will be displayed in Congressman Haridopolos' Melbourne office.
