Old Main south elevator out of service for repairs

While performing annual testing on South Elevator #2 in Old Main today, Western's service contractor found a potential safety problem that required shutting down the elevator for repairs. The contractor is measuring and ordering replacement parts as quickly as possible, but the elevator will have to remain out of service until repairs can be completed. We will provide an update as soon as we have more information about the repair timeline.

The north elevator serves all areas of the building except the south end of the fifth floor. For ADA accommodations, students should contact the Disability Access Centerand employees should contact Human Resources.
