Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas Remains Open During Government Shutdown

In the event of a partial government shutdown, the District of Kansas Bankruptcy Court will remain open and continue to adjudicate bankruptcy matters, accept new case filings, receive and process pleadings and fees, and hear matters. Parties and their representatives should be prepared to appear for all matters that have been and will be scheduled for hearing unless the Court grants a party's request for extension of time for good cause. The Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) system will continue to accept electronic filings. The public counter and telephone lines for the Bankruptcy Court will also remain open for business according to their normal schedules.
