Planned Roadwork for Northwest Missouri, April 20-26.

St. Joseph, Mo. - The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of April 20-26.

There may be moving operations, such as mowing, brush cutting and litter removal, throughout the region in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org, or download the app for updated information.

Andrew County

Interstate 29 - Bridge flushing both directions from the 51.4 mile marker to the 62.4 mile marker, April 20-23.

Atchison County

U.S. Route 136 - Resurfacing and drainage improvement project through July 2026. The road will be narrowed to one lane, and a 10-foot width restriction will be in place. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)

Routes 46, 111, V, B, C - Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction LLC). *2

Buchanan County

Interstate 29 - Southbound lanes narrowed to one lane overnight with short-term rolling closures while crews set new bridge girders for the Gene Field Road Bridge, April 15. 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Motorists should expect delays. U.S. Route 169 - CLOSED for an intersection improvement project at Southeast Riverside Terrace through mid-July 2026. (Contractor: Hoy Excavating, LLC) https://www.modot.org/projects/us-route-169-intersection-improvements-buchanan-county.

Route 169 - Intersection improvement project at Route FF through mid-August 2026. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place. Access to 49th Street will be closed through June 2026. (Contractor: Leavenworth Excavating & Equipment Company, Inc.)

Caldwell County

Route 13 - Resurfacing parking areas through Hamilton. Vehicles need to be moved by 6 a.m. on Monday, April 20. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.).

Route 13 -Resurfacing and ADA improvements project from Samuel Street to School Street in Hamilton through mid-May. Route 13 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.).

Carroll County

Route 10 - Pavement repair and resurfacing project from Route FF to Route C in Ray County, through May 15. The road will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers guiding motorists through the work zone. (Contractor: Emery Sapp and Sons LLC).

U.S. Route 65 - Striping operation, April 20-24. This will be a moving operation. Motorists should expect delays. A 16-foot width restriction will be in place. (Contractor: Capital Paving and Construction, LLC).

Route 41 - CLOSED around-the-clock at the Wakenda Chute Bridge until further notice for bridge deck repairs.

Chariton County

Route EE -- ADA improvements project from Route 139 to just west of Walnut Street in Sumner, through April 2026. (Contractor: Ti-Zack Concrete, LLC).

Route F - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Siloam Avenue to Demsey Road, April 20-23, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

Route F - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Demsey Road to Hess Road, April 24, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Clinton County

I-35 - Pavement rehabilitation in the southbound lanes from Exit 40 (Lathrop) to Exit 48 (south Cameron) through September 2026. Daviess County

Route 13 - Resurfacing and ADA improvements project from Berry Street to Van Buren Street in Gallatin through mid-May. Route 13 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.).

Route K - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route P to Hope Avenue, April 20, 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Harrison County

U.S. Route 69 - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route 46 to 130th Street, April 22, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Holt County

Routes B, 111, 59, C, N - Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction LLC). *2

Linn County

Route 11 - CLOSED at the Badger Creek Bridge, north of New Boston, for a bridge replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle through May 2026. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Route 139 - CLOSED at the Parson Creek Bridge, north of Meadville, for a bridge replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle through May 2026. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

U.S. Route 36 - Concrete replacement from Route 5 to Katy Drive, April 20-23. The eastbound driving lane will be closed around-the-clock.

Livingston County

Route K - CLOSED at the North Fork Crooked Creek Bridge through April 2026 for a bridge replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

U.S. Route 65 - Striping operation, April 20-24. This will be a moving operation. Motorists should expect delays. A 16-foot width restriction will be in place. (Contractor: Capital Paving and Construction, LLC).

Mercer County

Route E - CLOSED at the West Medicine Creek Bridge through early June 2026 for a deck replacement project. U.S. Route 71 - Resurfacing project from the Iowa state line to U.S. Route 136 near Burlington Junction through August 2026. The road will be narrowed to one lane, and a 10-foot width restriction will be in place.

Route E - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 210th Street to 220th Street, April 20, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route E - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 200th Street to 190th Street, April 21, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route E - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from 170th Street to 160th Street, April 23, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 113 - Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction LLC). *2

Putnam County

Route N - CLOSED at the Turkey Creek Bridge through July 2026 for a bridge replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Route E - Scrub seal project, April 20-27. The road will be narrowed to one lane with a pilot car guiding motorists through the work zone. (Contractor: Vance Brothers Inc.).

Route U - CLOSED for a culvert replacement from U.S. Route 136 to 175th Street, April 21, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sullivan County

Route 129 - CLOSED at the Spring Creek Bridge through August for a bridge replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Route PP - CLOSED at the West Locust Creek Bridge through June 2026 for a bridge replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Route T - CLOSED at the East Locust Creek bridge through July 2026 for a bridge replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle. (Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Route Z - CLOSED in up to 2-mile sections for resurfacing, April 20. *3

Route DD - CLOSED daily in up to 2-mile sections for resurfacing, April 22-24, 27. *3

Route E - Pothole patching from Route PP to Route 139, April 20-24.

Route WW - Pothole patching from Route E to the end of state maintenance, April 20-24.

Worth County

U.S. Route 169 - Approach repairs at the Middle Fork Grand River Bridge, April 20, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, LLC).
