Encinitas Expands Access to Enrichment With Senior Citizen Activity Assistance Program

February 17, 2026 - Encinitas senior citizens have a new reason to get out, get active, and get creative.

The City of Encinitas is thrilled to roll out the Senior Citizen Activity Assistance Program, opening the door for older adults to enjoy Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (PRCA) programs at a fraction of the cost.

Residents 60 and older who meet residency and income qualifications can receive up to 50% off PRCA program registration fees. Whether it's painting, fitness, music, or other enriching activities, this program helps seniors access experiences that make life vibrant.

How It Works

Eligible participants who complete and submit a Senior Activity Assistance Application may receive up to $300 per fiscal year in financial support. Funding is limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis.
