The Mercer Vicinage will hold its spring recovery court graduation ceremony on Tuesday, June 16 at 10 a.m. in the special proceeding courtroom of the Mercer County Criminal Courthouse.
Superior Court Judge Tracy M. Thompson, who presides over the vicinage's recovery court program, will address 11 graduates on their successes and accomplishments. Assignment Judge Robert Lougy will host the ceremony. Daniel McGowan, a certified alcohol and drug counselor, will give the keynote address.
The Judiciary's recovery court program operates within the Superior Court to address nonviolent drug-addiction cases. The program requires completion of several phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery.
The vicinage's recovery court program, which began in 1999, has 105 participants and more than 391 graduates.
The Mercer County Criminal Courthouse is located at 400 S. Warren St., Trenton.
