On November 22, 2025, at approximately 4:12 PM, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the 600 block of N. Bentz Street for a reported shooting.
Responding officers checked the area but were unable to locate any involved victims or suspects. During the preliminary investigation, the Frederick Police Department was notified by an allied agency that a vehicle matching the suspect's vehicle description had been located unoccupied and on fire in the Germantown area. Officers confirmed it was the same vehicle used in the Frederick incident.
This case has been assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division - Major Crimes Unit. Evidence and information gathered so far indicate the incident occurred in the area of Lord Nickens Street. However, at this time, it remains unknown if anyone was struck by gunfire.

Anonymous tips may be provided by calling the Frederick Police Department's Crime Tip Line at 301-600-TIPS (8477). Residents in the surrounding area who have home security or video surveillance are asked to review their footage and contact Det. McPeak if they observe anything that may assist the investigation.
