Cutler Named Republican Chairman of House Education Committee

HARRISBURG - Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Reach Bottom) was officially named the Republican chairman of the House Education Committee for the 2025-26 session. This will be Cutler's first term as Republican House Education Committee chair.

"I am deeply honored to have been selected as the Republican chair for the House Education Committee for this session," said Cutler. "As chair, I will work toward increasing support for career and technical education, helping our children be ready for the workforce of the future, support school choice and fight back against people pressing far-left political agendas in our schools."

When legislation is introduced in the state House, the speaker assigns it to one of the various standing committees. The majority committee chairman may then call hearings and decide whether the bill is worthy of consideration by the full House of Representatives.
