Join Us for the Next NEO Grand Rounds on Fetal Cardiac Arrythmias and Postnatal Treatment

The Pediatrix® Neonatology Grand Rounds series addresses pertinent controversial issues that influence the clinical practice of newborn medicine. Webinars are held on the first Wednesday of every month from 4 to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

On Jan. 8, Jennifer Johnson, D.O., will discuss fetal cardiac arrythmias and postnatal treatment.

Topics include:

  • Review of the different types of fetal arrhythmias.
  • The evaluation of fetal arrhythmias by echocardiogram.
  • The components of fetal Premature Atrial Contractions (PACs), Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVCs), Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT), atrial flutter and congenital heart block (CHB).
  • Post-delivery management of fetal arrhythmias.

Dr. Johnson joined Pediatric Cardiology Associates, part of Methodist Healthcare, in 2023 as the director of non-invasive imaging and perinatal cardiology. Previously, she was an associate professor of pediatrics in the Division of Cardiology at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and served as the director of perinatal cardiology. She has 10 years of practice in cardiac non-invasive imaging specializing in perinatal cardiology.

Dr. Johnson earned her medical degree at Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Loyola University Medical Center. Dr. Johnson then completed a general cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic followed by a non-invasive imaging fellowship at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt as a clinical instructor.
