Chance the Rapper Named Host of Chicago’s Live National Broadcast Debut on New Year’s Eve

CHICAGO - Today, ABC7, Dick Clark Productions (DCP), Mayor Brandon Johnson, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) and Choose Chicago announced that Grammy Award-winning artist Chance the Rapper will serve as the host during Chicago's historic debut as a featured Central Time zone location for "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2026".

As one of the city's most influential cultural voices, Chance brings unmatched musical talent, community leadership and deep hometown pride to the nation's most-watched New Year's Eve celebration. His presence will highlight Chicago's status as a global force in arts and culture, amplify the creative energy of the city's artists and neighborhoods, and help deliver an unforgettable New Year's Eve experience as he leads the live Central Time Zone countdown.

Chance joins an all-star roster of hosts for the evening's production, including Ryan Seacrest and chart-topping artist Rita Ora in New York's Times Square, and NFL legend Rob Gronkowski and artist Julianne Hough in Las Vegas. Details for the Puerto Rico celebration will be announced soon.
