HP and Adobe Bring Digital Twin Capture Built for Scale

HP and Adobe are now delivering customers faster capture speeds, greater imaging control, and new frame-rate and resolution options. The update also expands integration with Adobe Substance 3D Sampler through Windows and Mac endpoints to support hybrid AI inference on NVIDIA Jetson AGX. It is available today for all HP Z Captis customers.

Since the release of HP Z Captis with Adobe Substance 3D integration, industries from footwear and fashion to automotive and aviation have turned to the solution to support digital twin workflows at scale. Enterprises need accurate visual material data that can move from design and review into downstream content workflows, with tighter control over how assets are represented through industry standards such as the OpenPBR material model. For customers, this creates a more direct path from physical samples to reusable digital assets that support design review, 3D visualization, and downstream content creation. This update gives creative teams more freedom to explore and refine designs while helping enterprises accelerate iteration and maintain greater consistency across the product lifecycle.

HP Z Captis with Adobe Substance 3D Sampler integration meets this need by converting complex physical material properties into structured datasets for AI-assisted enterprise pipelines, giving teams more accurate and controllable inputs for product visualization.

AI inference meets computer vision at the edge


Appearance capture is a difficult pursuit, with spectral response and metallic materials notoriously challenging to reproduce accurately. HP and Adobe are jointly exploring how large-scale AI training infrastructure can be combined with edge inference on HP Z Captis to tackle this challenge and push the boundaries of specular capture. Announced at Substance Days, Adobe Research has been building on this collaboration to evaluate a specular reflectance model approach for the HP Z Captis capture pipeline.
