The Training Resources Applied to Mining Conference (TRAM) will be held in person at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy on November 4-6, 2025. Featuring presentations from some of the industry's most respected safety trainers, this tuition-free conference helps health and safety trainers improve their training skills and infuse their training programs with new ideas and materials.

Workshop Presenters

The workshops cover a wide variety of topics pertinent to mine safety trainers. The theme for the 2025 conference is Safe Mines, Strong Futures and presentation topics will encompass everything from best practices for better content delivery to innovative training design techniques. The deadline for presenter registration and presentation synopsis submission is September 1, 2025.

Training Materials Competition

Training in today's mining industry is considered a foundational element in our mission to improve mine safety. Through the years, the training materials competition has fostered a new level of professionalism in the development of training materials. This competition is open to all sources of mining-related training materials.

Exhibitors

TRAM's exhibit area features some of the latest training materials developed by MSHA, State Grant recipients, and the mining industry. Additional exhibits showcase innovative health and safety products. Exhibitors can sign up via online registration.

Lodging at the Mine Academy for this conference is extremely limited. Visit the link here for a list of local motels.

The cafeteria hours for meals are: Breakfast from 6:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You may pay for meals in the cafeteria by cash, credit card, or check/money order.
