MINNEAPOLIS -Last week, the city of St. Paul and a coalition of clean energy groups sued the Trump administrationfor canceling more than $7.5 billion in clean energy grants and loans. Under President Joe Biden, the funds were originally awarded to support projects such as expanding electric vehicle infrastructure and installing solar panels.
In response, Margaret Levin, Sierra Club North Star Chapter Director, released the following statement:
"By clawing back billions in clean energy funds, the Trump administration is stripping St. Paul and communities across the country of a healthy, affordable future. If we let this administration have its way, families already deeply impacted by climate change and fossil fuel emissions will continue to pay the price. We stand in full support of the city of St. Paul and the organizations challenging the cancellation of these vital funds that would help us protect our planet and neighbors."
