Changes to terms and conditions for .nu and .se

The Swedish Internet Foundation, Internetstiftelsen, has submitted a draft of changes to the terms and conditions for .se and .nu domains.

When you purchase and own a domain using the .se and .nu top-level domains, you use a top-level domain that The Swedish Internet Foundation operates. Their terms and conditions apply to all owners of .se and .nu domains. On March 11, 2024, The Swedish Internet Foundation published proposed changes to the terms and conditions for domains using these top-level domains, and one.com intends to inform its customers of these changes.

These are the proposed changes:

1. New registration: it is stipulated that a domain name, if newly registered, may remain unpublished in the .se zone in case of deficiency, or assumption of deficiency, in meeting the requirement of accurate and complete information about the domain holder.
2. Deactivation: in the case of deactivation of a domain name due to the failure to fulfill the requirement for accurate and complete information, it is clarified that the communication notifying the holder about the deactivation may originate not only from the Internet Foundation but also from registrars.
3. Domain holder information for .nu: foreign domain holders shall provide identification information equivalent to either organization number or personal identity number. These requirements mirror the existing requirements already in effect under the registration conditions for .se.
