RocketHacks will welcome students from across the region to collaborate, innovate and develop real solutions to real challenges beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 14.
Individual and team applications are open through Saturday, March 7, at the RocketHacks website.
A hackathon is a fixed period of intense collaboration among participants specializing in computer programming and complementary skills, fostering innovation and leading to creative projects in various software disciplines. RocketHacks, which is hosted by UToledo in collaboration with Major League Hacking, will invite participants to develop projects in four tracks: finance, healthcare, sustainability and hardware.
Participation is free and open to high school and college students from any academic discipline. No technical skills or experience are necessary, and organizers will provide workshops, mentors and other helpful resources including a hardware lab. Meals and snacks also will be provided.
RocketHacks will run simultaneously to Code & Create, a program specifically designed for high school students.
