"Our hearts are with the people of Venezuela and the many Venezuelan families here in Miami-Dade who are anxiously waiting to hear from loved ones. The loss of life, widespread destruction, and uncertainty facing so many families is heartbreaking, and our community mourns alongside them. These earthquakes come at a time when Venezuela has already endured years of extraordinary hardship, making the road to recovery even more difficult." - Miami-Dade Democratic Party Chair Laura Kelley
