The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is hosting an open house on the Harris Chain of Lakes.
When: Wednesday, Jan. 28. Come anytime from 3-7 p.m.
Where: The Venetian Center, 1 Dozier Circle. Leesburg, FL 34748.
FWC biologists will showcase a variety of research and management projects taking place throughout the Harris Chain of Lakes. Visitors can explore exhibits and speak directly with staff about fisheries management, aquatic plants, habitat restoration, hunting opportunities and more.
"This open house is a great opportunity for the community to learn more about the science and management behind one of Florida's most popular lake systems," said Andrew Marbury, FWC fisheries biologist. "We encourage everyone to stop by, ask questions and get to know the people working to conserve these important natural resources."
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact [email protected].
