Public Invited to 2026 Season Opening of Adaptive Cycling Center on May 9

The City of Reno invites the public to the season opening of the Adaptative Cycling Center on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Adaptive Cycling Center is located at the Rosewood Nature Study Area at 6800 Pembroke Drive. Opening day activities include free adaptive bike use, local vendors, an adaptive bike rodeo, and more.

The Adaptive Cycling Center opened in 2023 and is part of the City of Reno's commitment to improving accessibility and promoting outdoor recreation regardless of ability. It serves as a launching point to access the Southeast Connector Bike Trail, as well as connect to the Tahoe-Pyramid Bike Trail.

Memberships are available for purchase for the 2026 season, along with single-day admission. These memberships allow individuals with disabilities to access adaptive bikes and directly use the terrain, no bike transport needed.

The City offers scholarship opportunities for youth under 18 with disabilities. Funded through a grant from the Nevada Kids Foundation, the scholarships cover the full cost of a membership. Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply or learn more, contact the Adaptive Cycling Center at 775-333-7765.
