Sen. Rick Scott Introduces Bill to Designate Charlie Kirk Patriot Way in D.C. to Honor Legacy of Charlie Kirk

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Senator Rick Scott led Senators Mike Lee, Marsha Blackburn, Bernie Moreno, and Josh Hawley in introducing the Charlie Kirk Patriot Way Act to honor the legacy of Charlie Kirk by designating a street in our nation's capital Charlie Kirk Patriot Way. This designation will pay tribute to Charlie, an American patriot who spent his young life promoting the founding ideals our great nation, free speech, discussion of ideas, and religious liberty, and inspired countless young Americans to stand up for their beliefs with courage and conviction.

Senator Scott also recently led the introduction and passage of a resolution designating Charlie's birthday, October 14, 2025, as National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.

Senator Rick Scott said, "Charlie loved our nation and its ideals, and dedicated his entire life to discussing how to make our nation better and encourage others to share and discuss their ideas to do the same. Like our Founders, he engaged in debate not with anger, but with conviction, respect, and a deep love for this country, inspiring so many Americans to get involved and help shape the future of the nation. I'm proud to lead this effort to dedicate a street in our nation's capital as Charlie Kirk Patriot Way - a place where every American can come to pay tribute to Charlie's life, and a reminder to us all to continue his legacy by standing strong in what you believe: peacefully, purposefully, and proudly."

Senator Marsha Blackburn said, "Charlie Kirk was a patriot whose unwavering dedication to promoting American values and free speech will not be forgotten. Establishing the 'Charlie Kirk Patriot Way' would honor his tireless efforts to inspire patriotism and uphold the values that make our nation the greatest place to live in the world."

Senator Bernie Moreno said, "Over a decade ago, Charlie shared with me his vision to inspire our young people to get involved in politics. What started as an idea, turned into a movement that would change the course of our country. His assassination ignited a movement, and I am proud to join my colleagues to ensure that his impact will be felt for generations to come."
