Intelligent Dry Separation Project at Shajihai Coal Mine of Xinjiang Energy Was Put into Operation

On September 8, the raw coal quality upgrading project at Shajihai Coal Mine of China Shenhua's Xinjiang Energy, successfully began heavy-load trial operation. After the project was put into operation, the calorific value of raw coal increased from 3,800 kcal/kg to 4,735 kcal/kg. This marks a major breakthrough for the mine in overcoming the raw coal quality bottleneck and upgrading its product mix, and injects strong momentum into enhancing the Company's core market competitiveness.

In response to deep adjustments in the coal market and the urgent need for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement, Shajihai Coal Mine has focused on intelligent dry separation technology and advanced the construction of its raw coal quality upgrading project in an all-round way. Based on the renovation of one existing 50-300 mm intelligent dry separator, the project added two same-model units and three 25-50 mm intelligent dry separators. It also built a gangue silo and supporting trestle, forming a complete intelligent dry separation operation system for raw coal. During construction, technical personnel focused on separation process innovation and overcame key technical difficulties. They achieved flexible switching of the intelligent dry separator between the dual modes of "coal separation and gangue separation" and five-level separation precision, forming two mature and stable production schemes. Intelligent dry separation and quality upgrading have delivered a significant leap in raw coal calorific value, substantial growth in product added value, effective optimization of the product mix, and a fundamental enhancement of market competitiveness and profitability.

The commercial operation of the project is an important practical achievement of Shajihai Coal Mine in thoroughly implementing the special action for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement and developing new quality productive forces in accordance with local conditions.
