Waco Glass Recycling

Waco Glass Recycling

Published on October 12, 2024

Thank you for your support of the glass recycling program! Since the program was relaunched in February 2024, almost 50 tons of glass have been diverted from the landfill.

The glass recycling program allows residents, businesses, and visitors to recycle glass at no additional cost 24/7. When the bins get full, the glass is taken to Prestige Shredding and Recycling.

How to Use the Purple Bins

To use the bins, bring your glass bottles and jars and toss them in any of the eye-catching containers. Only glass goes in the bins. Please no bags or boxes.

Look for the purple bins at:

  • Heritage Square in Downtown Waco
  • East Waco Library
  • McLennan Community College in Parking Lot S
  • Goodwill Headquarters on New Road

Thank you to our partners at Keep Waco Beautiful, Strategic Materials, Inc., and Prestige plus a special thank you to the organizations hosting the purple bins.

Embrace the Purple Revolution

We encourage you to continue recycling glass to keep our community clean and green. Help us spread the word and share this rockin' PSA.
