Canaveral National Seashore has released body worn camera footage from an incident on April 27, 2025. This community briefing video shows body worn camera footage from the involved law enforcement officers.

We want our visitors to bring everyone home from a fun day in the water at Canaveral National Seashore. We encourage anyone visiting our beaches to:

• Check the weather forecast and water conditions before coming to the park at Weather - Canaveral National Seashore (U.S. National Park Service)
• Check park alerts for wave and rip current warnings.
• Do not swim in the ocean when there are coastal surf warnings and when red flags are posted at the park entrance
• Designate a water watcher. This is a someone in your group who supervises children, adolescents and those with little or no swimming skills.
