Annual Holiday Tree Lighting December 5

The City of Fairfield invites the community to its annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Friday, December 5, at 6 p.m. in downtown Fairfield. The Christmas tree will stand at the corner of Texas and Jefferson Streets and will be lit by Mayor Catherine Moy at 6:30 p.m.

After the lighting, the celebration continues along Texas Street between Union Avenue and Madison Street with live music, fun activities, a trackless train, pony rides, hot cocoa, and photos with Santa. Back by popular demand, The Grinch Who DJ'd Christmas will return to spin festive tunes and bring his playful holiday spirit.

Everyone is encouraged to stroll through downtown, enjoy the carolers, admire the decorated shop windows, and visit local open houses.
