ADVISORY - WYOMING COUNTY - Governor Shapiro and Administration Leaders to Hold Roundtable, Highlight Administration's Investments to Prevent Fatal Overdoses, Support Families Struggling with Substance Use Disorder

Governor Josh Shapiro will join Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Secretary Dr. Latika Davis-Jones and Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Dr. Debra Bogen at the Wyoming County Emergency Management Agency for a roundtable discussion on efforts to save lives, prevent fatal overdoses, and support families struggling with substance use disorder following the Shapiro Administration's release of its Overdose Prevention Program Annual Report.

In the last year, DDAP distributed over 800,000 doses of naloxone and over 700,000 test strips to frontline organizations that reported over 11,400 overdose reversals linked to the Administration's work, highlighting how the Shapiro Administration is helping to save thousands of lives, foster community partnerships, and reduce stigma surrounding substance use in Pennsylvania.
