Williams Presented Lifesaving Award

Captain Jodi Williams has received a Certificate of Recognition for Lifesaving following an event in February in which she provided lifesaving care for a co-worker having a severe allergic reaction. She administered the co-worker's EpiPen and ordered EMS called. When the co-worker stopped breathing before EMS arrived, she performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

"I had the confidence to do this because of the CPR training I took in Civil Air Patrol," Williams said. "Please get the training! You never know when you will need it."

The award was announced at the South Dakota Wing conference in April, but Williams was not able to attend. It was presented June 1 at the Lincoln County Composite Squadron weekly meeting.
