Registrations Open for Third Annual Anatomage Tournament at SWOSU

The Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) Department of Allied Health Sciences will host the third annual Anatomage Tournament, in collaboration with Anatomage, on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, at the Pioneer Event Center. The tournament is open to high school students and provides an opportunity to engage with the Anatomage Table, a 3D anatomy visualization and virtual dissection tool, while testing knowledge of anatomical structures.

The event features team-based competition, with teams of three to four students competing to be among the Top 16 teams advancing to the Tournament Bracket. The Top 4 teams will receive prizes and qualify for the National Anatomage Tournament. Students will gain hands-on experience with Anatomage technology, completing quizzes that involve identifying anatomical structures by name and function. Outside the competition, workshops and informational sessions will provide additional opportunities to explore the technology and learn from instructors.

This year's tournament will include two separate brackets: one for high school teams and one for tech center teams. Each participating team must be accompanied by an onsite chaperone, and all participants are required to submit a signed waiver. High schools may register up to three teams, with additional teams allowed for tech center schools offering morning and afternoon classes. Registration for the tournament closes Jan. 16, 2026.

Teams interested in competing can register online at share.swosu.edu/anatomage.

Teams will register for a 20-minute slot during the preliminary round. Each session includes an introduction to the Anatomage Table, practice quizzes to familiarize participants with its functions, and the official Tournament Round Quiz. As the competition progresses, rounds become increasingly challenging, testing both speed and accuracy.

For more information about the tournament or to register, contact Sharon Lawrence at [email protected] or Summer House, Allied Health Sciences Instructor and Anatomage Specialist, at [email protected].
