On 11 May, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Vidmantas Verbickas met with Sandra Parthie, President of the Employers' Group of the European Economic and Social Committee, and members of the Committee delegated by Lithuania.
The meeting focused on Lithuania's Presidency of the Council of the EU in the first half of 2027.
"In the run-up to Lithuania's Presidency, it is particularly important to strengthen the dialogue with the European Economic and Social Committee and to actively involve social partners in the preparation process. We hope that close cooperation with the Committee will contribute to the effective implementation of the common European goals of competitiveness, resilience, and societal well-being", said Verbickas.
The meeting discussed priorities of the Committee's work, the role of social partners, and possibilities of deepening Lithuania's cooperation with the Committee.
