San Juan Regional Medical Center Welcomes Jennifer Erickson as Chief Human Resources Officer

San Juan Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Erickson, MBA, as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Erickson is an accomplished healthcare human resources executive who brings more than 18 years of progressive leadership experience in complex healthcare and academic medical environments to the organization. She replaces Neil Teatsorth, who is retiring.

Throughout her career, Erickson has focused on building strong workplace cultures, developing talent and helping organizations create environments where employees can thrive. She has a genuine commitment to mission-driven leadership, strong organizational values, and a people-first approach. She joins SJRMC from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources since 2021. In that role, she led human resources strategy and operations for approximately 3,000 employees across multiple clinical locations. Prior to that, she spent nearly 14 years at University of Iowa Health Care in progressive human resources leadership roles.

Erickson holds a Master of Business Administration from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. As Chief Human Resources Officer, she will help advance SJRMC's commitment to creating a workplace where caregivers are supported, engaged and equipped to provide exceptional care to the community.

Erickson's first day is Monday, August 31.
